Outside the gym I have a huge interest in Make up and would potentially love to one day become a Make up artist. Since that point I can now say I've proudly represented GB at five European championships, three World championships and one Olympic games. I gained GB's first ever AA podium finish at a major Championships (Europeans) which also resulted in me winning BBC Young Sports Personality Of The Year !!! I compete four pieces of apparatus, Bars, Beam, Floor and Vault of which floor & vault are my favourite & speciality pieces, tho I am also a strong All Around performer.Īs a junior gymnast I competed at the European Youth Olympic festival where I became EYOF Vault Champion I repeated this success at the Junior European Championships in 2014 & Also represented GB at The Youth Olympic Games in Nanning China the same year returning with Four medals.Ģ015 was the year i turned Senior and i had an Amazing year. I am also a Team GB Elite Artistic Gymnast and i’m 20 yrs old. I am Ellie Downie, younger but taller sister to Becky Downie.
